Decaying among the tree roots is my tomorrow. Nutrients are the secret glory of the universe. Or are they?

I don’t know.

What I know is that when you brought the mountain down and broke the earth away and I saw you underneath it all, I understood a little about the value of this lifetime.

And I deserve my chance at happiness.

Is happiness deserved? I don’t know. I love that you don’t know about the nutrients. How approachable we all are when we admit to the absences. Damn beautiful little poem Shutter Bug!

Congratulations Ed, this is so beautiful. Your blog, your words. I want to say something nice, something significant in my first comment here, and so I am quoting the lines from the master of the wordplay himself, Mr Jason Mraz, to grace your opening night:)

…I am overjoyed and over loved and feeling lucky, Like a little boy who’s hiding under covers, And looking any way to play the part inside his darkened cave, Well the meaning of life, it starts at the nightlight, Close your eyes and hope to see mine…

It is quite funny how this coincides with my wish to take a hiatus from my traditional blogging. Now I want a blog like yours :)

    See ya.

nicely penned…and yes, you as much as everyone else deserves a chance at happiness.

  • hedgewitch says:

The simplicity of this one seems to wrap up so many thoughts and emotions effortlessly. It sounds like a casual thought voiced, then starts to dig its way down and do a deeper job. Great stuff, and an interesting new format over here–very easy on the eyes, which is a huge plus for me.
